Lady Gaga makes her debut appearance on the Artist Power Index following her first performances of the year at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. The award-winning entertainer returned to the theater this month with “Jazz & Piano,” one of the two shows she performs as part of her residency there. With nine nights of the production on tap through May 1, she lands at No. 13 on the chart with the first three of those shows, April 14, 16 & 17.

She launched her residency at the Las Vegas venue, then named Park Theater, in December 2018 with a three-show New Year’s run of her other production “Enigma.” Together, both of her events have amassed a total gross of $67 million with ticket sales totaling 228,580 at 43 performances as of last October. But her shows will not all be on a Vegas stage this year. In the summer she will kick off her first all-stadium tour dubbed “Chromatica Ball” with 17 concerts planned in eight countries from July through September.

Justin Bieber remains the highest-ranked artist on APX with 12 of the arenas on his “Justice” tour’s North American trek earning him a Live rank of 5. Among the box-office counts reported so far, he has grossed $3.16 million at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, $2.18 million at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and $1.86 million at Amalie Arena in Tampa. Fla. With more than 20 of his arena shows completed, he is currently averaging 12,828 sold seats per show. The pop superstar, with top 10 ranks in all four APX categories, recently made a guest appearance on stage at Coachella, surprising fans during fellow Canadian Daniel Caesar’s set at the festival on April 15.

Coldplay moves from No. 6 to eighth in the group’s second week on APX – although still scoring the top Live rank – but holds on to No. 1 on LIVE75 for a second week on the strength of the band’s 11-show Latin American trek in March and April. With concerts in stadiums in Mexico, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, the combined gross from all events produced an average of $4.08 million per show to score the “Heavy Hitter” classification on the chart.

The North American leg of Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” world tour is set to commence on May 6, beginning with a performance in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl. Nine more stadiums in U.S. markets are lined up through the middle of June.

Sech makes his debut on LIVE75 as the week’s “Hot Shot” touring artist based on a three-show ticket average of 15,057 from concerts at San Juan’s Coliseo de Puerto Rico on April 8-10. It was the first headlining appearance at the arena for the Panamanian reggaeton artist, who is also booked at a handful of festivals during the spring and summer. Grosses from the San Juan concerts totaled $2.54 million with tickets priced from $15 to $95.
Alt-J and Portugal. The Man joined forces this spring with a co-headlining jaunt through North American cities, and they appear together on LIVE75 at No. 15. The bands are classified as this week’s “Noise Maker” based on an 18-position leap from the 33rd ranking one week ago. Their tour scores a ticket average of 6,730 from three concerts in U.S. cities.

The jump comes after data from two additional concerts were added to the tour’s sold ticket counts during the past week. The first, a sellout at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, drew 8,722 fans, while a Madison Square Garden performance in New York City had an attendance of 8,524. Neither had been reported yet last week when the three shows counted for the previous issue’s tallies produced a ticket average of 2,160.
