Harry Styles Postpones Kia Forum Shows Due To Flu
Harry’s House got hit with a case of the flu with Harry Styles forced to postpone a handful of concerts of his 15-date residency at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
Initially, the Kia Forum just moved Styles’ Friday, Nov. 4 show to Sunday, Nov. 6. A Nov. 3 post on Twitter explained that the reschedule was “out of an abundance of caution” and cited “band illness.”
By Saturday fans learned that it was actually Styles himself that was sick and that the next three shows would also be pushed back.
A post on the Kia Forum’s Twitter broke the news that, “Harry Styles shows at the Kia Forum taking place November 5th, 6th, 7th will be rescheduled to January 26th, 27th, 29th 2023. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. Any additional show dates will play as scheduled.”
“An email from Ticketmaster will be sent directly to ticketholders with more information.”
Styles shared an Instagram Story on his own IG page saying, “Towards the end of the show on Wednesday I started feeling ill and I’ve been in bed with the flu ever since. I’ve been doing everything I can to be able to sing tonight, but I’m leaving the doctor now and I’m devastated that it’s just not possible.
“Until very recently I haven’t had to postpone a show due to illness in the 12 years I’ve been touring. I’m so sorry to do it, and if there was anyway I could do the show I would.
“I’m sorry this news is coming so close to show time, but it was my sincerest hope to be able to play for you tonight. I know several of you have planned trips to L.A. to see the show, and it means the absolute world to me.”
Styles added that the Nov. 5-7 shows are postponed until Jan. 26-27 and 29.
“Everything else will play as planned
“I can’t wait to see you then, and I’m so sorry.
All my love,
– H”
Styles is due back on stage at the Kia Forum Nov. 9, followed by Harry’s House residency dates at the Forum Nov. 11-12 and Nov. 14-15, with support from Ben Harper.
Following his North American tour dates, Styles is headed to Mexico for a handful of gigs and a run of shows through South America. The first concert is scheduled Nov. 20 at Arena VFG inGuadalajara, Mexico. His final date on the books for 2022 is Dec. 13 in São Paulo, Brazil at Allianz Parque Dec. 13.
Earlier this year Styles and his “Love On Tour” arena run took home Major Tour of the Year at the 33rd annual Pollstar Awards.
He ranked No. 2 on Pollstar’s 2021 Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart with a gross of $86.7 million.
