Drake & 21 Savage Drop Hints For Upcoming Tour

While speaking with SiriusXM’s radio show “Table for One” last week, Drake and 21 Savage dropped hints they plan on taking their new album, Her Loss, on the road. While full routing has not yet been confirmed, Drake has already announced two shows at the Apollo Theater on Dec. 6 and 7.

The Apollo Theater show was initially slated for Nov. 11, but was pushed back until December following the death of Atlanta rapper and member of the trio Migos, Takeoff, who died last week after being shot in Houston. A memorial for the rapper will be taking place in Atlanta this weekend, prompting Drake, who helped Migos grow to fame by jumping on their track “Versace,” to push his performances to December.

With the release of Her Loss, fans are hoping to spot 21 Savage at Drake’s upcoming Apollo dates. While speaking with SiriusXM last week, Drake let slip that both he and 21 Savage are looking forward to bringing their joint album on the road.

“I’m excited for tour,” Drake said while on “Table for One.” “It’s just another opportunity for me to be with my brother and, shit, our set that night is going to be dangerous. That’s a tour in itself, people are going to get a tour within a tour within a tour.”

Drake’s last tour took place in 2019, with shows all across the globe. Highlights included three nights at Dublin’s 3Arena that nearly sold out with a total ticket sale of 31,054 grossing $4 million. His North American dates almost completely sold out, with three nights packing Atlanta’s State Farm Arena with Migos and Roy Woods on Nov. 16 and 18, 2018, selling 44,010 tickets and grossing $5.8 million. He also sold out Miami for two nights on Nov. 13 and 14 at the AmericanAirlines Center, grossing a total $4.9 million, according to reports submitted to Pollstar‘s Boxoffice.

Since wrapping his world tour on April 13, 2019 at Merksem, Belgium’s Antwerps Sportpaleis (which sold 14,546 tickets and grossed $1.1 million), Drake went on to do several festival plays. 2019 saw his OVO Festival taking place in Toronto for the last time ahead of the pandemic. Rock In Rio 2019 had been one of his last public appearances prior to the widespread lockdowns, with Drake returning more than two years later on Dec. 9, 2021 to perform at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum alongside Kanye West as the two publicly squashed their long-time beef. The event was broadcast by Amazon Music on Prime Video and Twitch.

So far this year, Drake’s only public performance took place at Budweiser Stage in his hometown of Toronto as part of this year’s OVO Fest. The show saw Drake reuniting with Young Money crew members Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
