Miley Cyrus To Ring In New Year’s Eve With Dolly Parton
Miley Cyrus will be celebrating New Year’s Eve this year alongside her godmother, Dolly Parton. The two will oversee the return of “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” on NBC, with more artists and musical performances to be announced.
The show will air from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. ET on Dec. 31, with the show produced by “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels.
“The inaugural ‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party’ was an unqualified success and we know this year’s show will be just as spectacular, with plenty of surprises and lots of fun,” said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Entertainment Live Vents, Specials and E! News, NBCUniversal Television and streaming. “We can’t wait to get the party started.”
While Cyrus’ own performances have been limited mostly to festival plays over the past several years, last year saw the rousing success of her New Year’s Eve Party, co-hosted with Pete Davidson. The invitation of Dolly Parton for this year guarantees fans can tune in to hear the two of them duet “Jolene,” as well as a few other hits from the pair. Parton has also largely stayed off the road for headlining shows the past few years, however, the iconic artist was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year.
