Def Leppard & Mötley Crüe Keep The Party Going With Summer Tour Dates
Following the success of Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe’s stadium tour last summer, the bands are continuing on with their co-headlining dates and will return to North America in August with six new shows.
The upcoming trek will see the bands return to stadiums, kicking off at JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York, on Aug. 5. From there, they’ll make stops in Columbus, Ohio; Fargo, North Dakota; Omaha, Nebraska and Tulsa, Oklahoma before wrapping up at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas.
“After finally getting back on the road this past summer, we’re beyond thrilled to bring this massive tour to a global audience including some special dates in America,” Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott said in a statement.
The upcoming tour dates see Alice Cooper joining as a special guest. Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe’s recent dates with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts sold out across the U.S., with highlights from the trek seeing them grossing $6.3 million for their Sept. 9 show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. They sold out SoFi Stadium on Aug. 27, grossing $6.1 million, as well as State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Aug. 25, grossing $6.3 million, according to reports submitted to Pollstar‘s Boxoffice.
“We had an incredible time playing The Stadium Tour in North America this summer and we truly can’t wait to take the show around the globe with The World Tour in 2023,” Mötley Crüe said in a joint statement. “Cruueheads get ready because we have a few amazing U.S. dates set for you!”
