Save The Date For 2023 Women In Music Summit 

The third annual Women In Music Summit is set for Jan. 25-27 via Zoom, featuring guest speakers, workshops and networking. Select chapters of the 501(c)3 non-profit organization will also host in-person networking events as part of the educational and career development summit.

Women In Music was founded in 1985 with a mission to “advance the awareness, equality, diversity, heritage, opportunities, and cultural aspects of women in the musical arts through education, support, empowerment, and recognition.” WIM has chapters across the globe and its diverse membership ranges from students to industry veterans who hold roles across the business including record label executives, artist managers, songwriters, musicians, attorneys, recording engineers, agents, publicists, studio owners, music publishers, marketers and more.

The WIM Summit includes executive programming, highlighting international leaders from the organization’s chapters, including WIM South Africa, WIM Nigeria, WIM India, WIM Canada and more. The event also has a focus on those entering the industry with a career fair and leaders from the WIM mentorship program and WIM internship program. 

“We’re delighted to announce dates for our third annual WIM Summit, which will bring together members and partners from around the world to discuss the most pressing issues in our industry and in our lives, and to create safe and empowering spaces to learn and advance careers. There is just nothing like getting this powerful, inspiring community together, and that comes through both virtually and in-person. We’re delighted to offer community building opportunities in both capacities this year,” Nicole Barsalona, President of Women In Music, said in a statement. 

The summit’s programming, speakers and other details will be announced in early January. Registration is open now. The 2023 event is free for WIM members, with three-day passes priced at $110 for non-members and $60 for student non-members. All proceeds from WIM’s annual membership dues and WIM Summit ticket purchases go to the organization’s charitable mission.

During the 2022 Summit, they were tuning in from their desk at their dream job, a new music industry career convert! That’s our mission in action. I can’t wait to see which sessions inspire and embolden the future leaders of our industry into 2023 and beyond.”
