Dua And Dugi Lipa To Speak At ESNS
Dua Lipa, alongside her father and manager Dukagjin Lipa, will join the ESNS conference lineup of speakers on Jan. 21.
The co-founders of Sunny Hill Festival, will be interviewed by IQ Magazine editor Gordon Masson, who already interviewed the pair at ILMC 31 in 2019.
Sunny Hill Festival is shortlisted for Best Medium Sized Festival (Prishtina, Kosovo) and the Best New Festival (Tirana, Albania, launched in 2022) at this year’s European Festival Awards, which are handed out in a ceremony on the first night of ESNS. Both festivals attract some 140,000 music lovers from around the world to south-east Europe.

Dua Lipa herself, Miley Cyrus, J Balvin, Diplo, DJ Regard, Meduza, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Stormzy, Skepta, AJ Tracey, Action Bronson, Grace Carter, Fedez, Mahmood, SG Lewis, Gashi, Bondax, KarmaKid, and many more regional and international artists have performed at Sunny Hill Festival in the past.
Alongside the festival, the Sunny Hill Foundation was founded by Dua and Dukagjin as a cultural organization with the mission “to be a helping hand for the most vulnerable and in-need parts of the Kosovan community and help young talents thrive.”

One example is the Sunny Hill Kindergarten in Tirana, Albania, for 300 underprivileged children after an earthquake hit that country in 2019. The foundation also financially supported music schools while managing other music related projects in the Lipa’s native Kosovo.
ESNS takes place, Jan. 18-21, 2023 in Groningen, the Netherlands, with a line-up of 290 emerging European artists, and a packed conference schedule.
