Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, BLACKPINK To Headline Coachella 2023
Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean top the lineup as Coachella returns to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, for two weekends set for April 14-16 and April 21-23. Calvin Harris, Gorillaz, Björk, Burna Boy, ROSALÍA, Eric Prydz presents HOLO, Kali Uchis and more are to perform both weekends, with Despacio on board to perform all weekend.
There’s several notable things about the 2023 lineup, not the least of which is its global flavor and diversity. For the first time in its 22-year history, Coachella spotlights a roster of solely people of color occupying the top slots.
Possibly the grandaddy of North American festivals, Coachella in recent years – not counting two dark season owing to COVID – has drawn upwards of 125,000 music and fashion fans per day and will no doubt do so again. And it appears demand has already put a pinch on ticket inventory: “Very limited Weekend 1 passes remain,” reads the announcement. “For your best chance at passes, look to Weekend 2.”
Registration for access to passes is now open at the festival website, with presale starting Friday, Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. PST. Note that the presale does not guarantee pass type, packages or camping.
In addition to the headliners and other “large font” artists, the Coachella 2023 lineup, as of Jan. 10, includes such names as Chemical Brothers, Kaytranada, Blondie, Porter Robinson, Fisher, Chris Lake, Latto, Willow, Jai Wolf, Christine & The Queens, Rae Sremmurd, Weyes Blood, Becky G, Pusha T, Wet Leg, Idris Elba, boygenius, $uicideboy$, the Kid LAROI, Charli XCX, SOFI TUKKER, Remi Wolf, Chromeo, Marc Rebillet, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Ethel Cain, The Linda Lindas, and dozens more.
As usual, large scale art installations and F&B selections will dot the Polo Field landscape, and YouTube also returns as exclusive livestream partner for both Coachella weekends.
Hotel packages that bundle festival passes with local lodging and transportation are available for weekend one and weekend two, sold exclusively through Valley Music Travel. More information and updates, including any lineup additions, are available at the Coachella website.
