Dead and Company, Ed Sheeran, Lizzo Headlining 2023 New Orleans Jazz Fest
Organizers unveiled the lineup for the 2023 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Friday, and it is as diverse as ever with Dead and Company, Ed Sheeran, Lizzo, Santana and Mumford and Sons headlining the seven-day event.
The festival will also feature The Lumineers, Jill Scott, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Steve Miller Band, Jon Batiste, H.E.R., Kane Brown and many more musicians. The weekend dates are April 28-30 and May 4-7 at the Fair Grounds Race Course.
Weekend passes and travel packages are now on sale on the Jazz Fest website, www.nojazzfest.com, and single-day tickets can be purchased in the coming weeks.
This year’s musical event, also known simply as Jazz Fest, is the 53rd edition of the festival, which was first held in 1970 at Congo Square. The annual event has continually grown and now features more than 5,000 musicians across 14 stages and nearly half a million fans.
Jazz Fest is presented by Shell and is co-produced by AEG Presents and Festival Productions, Inc.-New Orleans. The festival is owned by the nonprofit organization New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Foundation, Inc., which uses the proceeds from the big event and other raised funds toward education, cultural enrichment programs and economic development.
