Sylvan Esso has unveiled the routing for a North American summer tour featuring nearly two dozen shows including some of the largest venues the electronic pop duo has ever headlined. Stops on the tour include Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre and Morrison, Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre and an appearance at Bonnaroo.

The trek goes along with the group’s No Rules Sandy LP, which was named one of the best albums of 2022 by the New York Times.

In its write-up The Times declared: “Sylvan Esso’s electronic pop goes gleefully haywire on “No Rules Sandy,” the fourth studio album by the duo of Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn. In songs that leap between the everyday and the metaphysical, they maintain the transparency that has always defined their music, but skew and tweak the details: moving vocals off the beat, slipping in hints of cross rhythms, always keeping serious ideas lighter than air.”

The duo surprised the audience at Newport Folk Festival last year by debuting the album during their performance. Though released in 2022, No Rules Sandy will get a physical release Jan. 20 – available as a deluxe LP, CD and cassette. To celebrate, the group is taking part in a signing at NYC’s Rough Trade Jan. 18 and a DJ set/signing at LA’s Amoeba music on Jan. 25.

Sanborn has described the songs as “wilder and stranger and more cathartic than the band used to be,” with Meath saying: “It feels like who we actually are. It just feels like us. We’re not trying to fit into the mold, just happily being our freak selves.”

The “No Rules Tour” – which features support from GRRL, Dehd and Indigo De Souza on select dates – kicks off with two shows in Asheville, North Carolina June 14-15. Check out the routing below.

Tickets are on sale now.

Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for Sylvan Esso include a May 26, 2022, show at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine, that sold 3,500 tickets and grossed $134,695. The duo also spent time on the road in 2022 supporting Odesza including a Sept. 20 stop at Usana Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City that sold 19,537 tickets and grossed $701,200.
