Coldplay’s ‘Music Of The Spheres World Tour’ Heads To The West Coast
Coldplay is bringing their “Music Of The Spheres World Tour” to the west coast in September with newly announced dates in Seattle, Vancouver, San Diego and Los Angeles. H.E.R. and 070 Shake will perform as openers throughout the four dates.
After kicking off in March 2022, Coldplay’s tour has sold more than six million tickets throughout Europe, North America and Latin America. Highlights from their ongoing trek include 10 nights at Bunos Aires’ Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti from Oct. 25 to Nov. 8, grossing a whopping $49.6 million. The band raked in another $49.2 million from Aug. 12 to 21 with six shows at Wembley Stadium in London, while their highest grossing North American tour date so far saw two shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on June 4 and 5, bringing in $13.1 million.
Coldplay appeared on the cover of Pollstar magazine in October 2021, the band discussing their aims to tour sustainably. They opened up Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena and promised their “Music Of The Spheres World Tour” would redefine how bands can limit their carbon footprint while out on the road. Each venue the band performs at features solar installations and a kinetic stadium floor powering the show’s battery. They’ve been working with Live Nation’s sustainability platform, Green Nation, to promote environmentally friendly touring practices.
