Kali Uchis Headlining North American Tour to Promote New Album, ‘Red Moon In Venus’

Kali Uchis announced she will be embarking on a North American tour this year to promote the release of her new English-language album, Red Moon In Venus.

The Colombian-American artist, known for mixing R&B, pop, soul and música urbana in her music, debuted a new track, “I Wish You Roses,” last Friday from her third studio effort. Red Moon In Venus is Uchis’ follow-up to the critically-acclaimed Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios), an album nominated for a Grammy Award in 2022.

“Love is the message,” Uchis said of the new album in a statement. “Red Moon In Venus is a timeless, burning expression of desire, heartbreak, faith, and honesty, reflecting the divine femininity of the moon and Venus. The moon and Venus work together to make key aspects of love and domestic life work well. This body of work represents all levels of love — releasing people with love, drawing love into your life and self-love. It’s believed by many astrologers that the blood moon can send your emotions into a spin, and that’s what I felt represented this body of work best.”

Following several festival performances in South America and at Coachella, Uchis will kick off a 20-date tour, which is produced by Live Nation, at Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park in Austin, Texas, on March 25. The artist will make stops at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, Hard Rock Live Orlando, The Met Philadelphia and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Uchis will close out the tour on May 30 at Phoenix’s Arizona Financial Center. British singer-songwriter RAYE will support most of the shows.

The general onsale begins Thursday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. local time, and tickets can be purchased at kaliuchis.com.

Uchis toured as a supporting act last year with Tyler, the Creator. According to box office reports submitted to Pollstar, they performed two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York that sold 14,440 tickets and grossed nearly $2.4 million.
