Outback Presents Adds Everett Ramsey, Hardy McBee To Lead New Mid-South Division
Independent concert promoter Outback Presents has brought along Everett Ramsey and Hardy McBee as general manager and director of booking for Outback Presents Mid-South, a new office based in New Orleans.
Both have experience with Beaver Productions, the New Orleans-based promoter whose leader, legendary concert promoter Don Fox, recently retired and closed the company after 53 years.
In a joint statement, Outback’s Mike Smardak, Brian Dorfman, and Vaughn Millette stated, “Everett and Hardy have an incredible reputation in our industry and it’s unbelievable to have them join our team. They worked for the legendary Don Fox for years and we are proud to have them join us. We wish Don Fox, a true ‘Independent,’ the best in his retirement.”
Ramsey’s entertainment career began in 1994 at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, and in 1998 he was hired by Beaver Productions.
“I’m so happy to begin my journey at Outback, especially focusing on relationships in the industry and providing outstanding service and attention to artists and their fans!” says Ramsey said in the announcement. “Michael, Vaughn, and Brian’s vision for the future perfectly aligned with the growth I foresee in the years to come. Many thanks to my friend, Don Fox, for taking a chance on me 25 years ago… It was a great ride!”
McBee for 15 years was director of marketing and publicity at Beaver, where he developed and managed marketing campaigns for Beaver’s touring artists.
“I am excited to join the Outback family and grow the Mid-South Division,” McBee said. “The reason Outback is such a great fit is that they are still passionate and engaged in all aspects of producing an incredible show! I learned a lot from Don Fox and Barry Leff and can’t wait to bring that knowledge to Outback.”
Outback also recently announced the appointment of Fallon Nell as senior booking manager, who returns to the company after being its first intern and later going on to form her own Brothers Management.
The company’s current tours include comedians Bert Kreischer and Heather McMahon as well as reggaetón star Rauw Alejandro.
