Goldenvoice & Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation To Continue Partnership Through 2032
Goldenvoice and the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation has announced their partnership will continue for another 10 years and last through 2032. Goldenvoice, a subsidary of AEG Presents, has been the exclusive event promotion company for the venue since 2016.
Goldenvoice Senior Vice President Moss Jacobs will continue booking the venue, which has hosted performances from bob Marley, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, Katy Perry and more since first opening in 1936 as a WPA project.
“The Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation has been a vital partner, helping Goldenvoice to foster incredible talent at one of the finest outdoor venues in the world,” Jacobs said in a statement. “The Foundation understands the significance of partnering with a substantial national organization to benefit this amazing local community. This contract will allow us to build on the foundation of past great events to improve the already amazing stature of the Santa Barbara Bowl.”
As a not-for-profit organization, the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation aims to renovate and maintain the venue to become a leader in the live industry. More than $43 million has been invested in improvements for the venue, while $10 million has been dedicated to supporting youth performing arts throughout Santa Barbara county.
“We’re thrilled to sign this booking agreement with Goldenvoice for another decade,” Santa Barbara bowl Foundation executive director, Rick Boller, said in a statement. “The relationship has allowed us to grow the organization and continue to bring amazing programming to the community, making the extension a natural fit. AEG Presents, Goldenvoice, and Moss Jacobs’ commitment to the venue and to concert programming that matches the diversity of our community are always at the forefront of this partnership.”
Boller worked with Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation chair Karen Kerns to renew the contract with Goldenvoice.
