Celine Dion Cancels Remaining Tour Dates

As she continues to battle a rare neurological condition, Celine Dion announced Friday she’s canceled her “Courage World Tour.”

The multi-platinum singer was scheduled for numerous multi-date plays in European arenas between August and October 2023 and again in March and April of 2024.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again,” Dion posted on various social media channels. “I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again. I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!”

Dion delayed numerous shows in December — including some of the now-canceled dates — when she announced she’d been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a disease neurologists are still learning about and that effects fewer than one in a million people.

In Dion’s case, the progressive disease, which attacks the spinal cord and brain, was causing debilitating spasms which “doesn’t allow her “to sing the way I’m used to.”

The “Courage World Tour” predates the pandemic shutdown. Dion performed North American dates around her pioneering Las Vegas residency and finished 2020 at No. 3 on Pollstar‘s Year End tour ranking, after banking $71.2 million on more than 408,000 tickets. Her Vegas dates were the first cancelations related to her health stuggles, canceled in October 2021 due to “unforeseen medical symptoms,” which were ultimately tied to the stiff-person syndrome diagnosis.
