Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shawn Colvin Team Up For Fall Tour

Long-time pals and critically and commercially acclaimed singer-songwriters Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin are hitting the road this fall for a 17-date theater run.

The tour launches September 28 at Immokalee, Florida’s Seminole Casino and makes stopsat Birmingham’s Lyric Theatre, Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and Minneapolis’ Pantages Theatre, among others, before wrapping October 24 at the Appel Center in York, Pennsylvania. Tickets for the shows will be available for presale starting 10 a.m. local June 13 via Seated, with general onsale following June 16 at 10 a.m. local time. Full details can be found at www.marychapincarpenter.com/tour.

During her run last fall with Emmylou Harris, Carpenter grossed $336,177 on 6,772 tickets from an Aug. 27 show at Filene Center At Wolf Trap in Vienna,Virginia, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports. Recent reports submitted for Colvin include a Feb. 24 show at Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, New Jersey, that sold 1,026 tickets and grossed $63,247.
