Jean-Michel Jarre Announces ‘Versailles 400’ On Christmas Day

Jean-Michel Jarre announced his show, “Versailles 400,” celebrating the 400th anniversary of France’s Palace of VersaillesThe show will take place live from inside the Hall of Mirrors at the Château de Versailles on Christmas Day.

While Jarre performs in the Hall of Mirrors, he will also be playing in the metaverse for fans who can’t make it in-person with a virtual and futuristic Hall of Mirrors available on tablets and smartphones. The show will also be broadcast on French TV channel Groupe M6-W9 and international channels via Eurovision services, as well as on radio and Jarre’s YouTube channel. VROOM will also host the performance on its platform.

“Versailles 400 is a hybrid concert and visual creation broadcast live from one of the world’s most beautiful locations, as well as in virtual reality in the metaverse,” Jarre said in a statement. “I hope the event will help promote our creative savoir-faire and bring the world of French immersive creation to the forefront of collective culture.”

Jarre will wear the LYNX mixed reality headset during his performance.

Jarre’s last reported tour dates took place on April 18, 2018 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre, where he grossed $110,690, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice.
