Lanell Rumion Named Programming Director At Frost Bank Center, Freeman Coliseum In San Antonio
Oak View Group has named Lanell Rumion as director of programming for both Frost Bank Center and Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, where the company acts as booking partner.
Rumion spent more than 15 years with Creative Artists Agency, working with artists and tours including Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Tom Jones, and Kraftwerk.
Rumion will be based at the 18,000-capacity Frost Bank Center, which is home to the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs and formerly named AT&T Center. Rumion will provide support and leadership to the booking department and assist the venues’ senior director of programming on planning, coordinating, and scheduling all non-rodeo ticketed events at both properties.
Spurs Sports & Entertainment announced a multi-year booking partnership with Oak View Group in October. Oak View Group is parent company to Pollstar and VenuesNow.
“With Lanell’s leadership and OVG’s expertise, Frost Bank Center is prepared to attract an even wider array of diverse and exciting events, further solidifying San Antonio as a premier destination for live entertainment experiences,” said Mindy Corr, VP and General Manager at SS&E.
“As we continue to work closely with SS&E in identifying and securing new and exciting live event opportunities for San Antonio, we will rely heavily on Lanell to be our local voice to the industry and help us create more live entertainment offerings for the region,” said Peter Luukko, Co-Chairman, OVG360.
Oak View Group has similar booking partnerships at Thompson-Boling Arena on the campus of University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN; CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE; Bon Secours Health Arena in Greenville, SC; Spokane Arena in Spokane, WA; and Hertz Arena in Estero, FL.
