Latin Singer Becky G Signs With WME
Becky G has signed with WME for representation across all areas, the agency announced Thursday. The move comes after what was a busy 2023 for the Latin star, who released her third album Esquinas to critical acclaim and embarked on her first headlining tour.
The 27-year-old singer has garnered more than 31 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Latin music, including Karol G, Peso Pluma, Anitta, Maluma and Pitbull. Most recently, Becky G performed her Academy Award-nominated song “The Fire Inside” at the Oscars and hosted the Latin American Music Awards, which was the first-ever bilingual awards show, along with Carlos Ponce, Thalía and Alejandra Espinoza.
She’s also seen success on the big screen, starring in 2017’s “Power Rangers” and providing the voice for Khaji-Da in “Blue Beetle,” Warner Bros’ live-action adaptation of DC Comics Latin superhero.
“With this strategic partnership, Becky G and WME aim to elevate her already illustrious career to new heights, leveraging the agency’s extensive resources and industry expertise,” the agency wrote in the release announcing the signing. “Renowned for representing influential figures in entertainment, WME is uniquely positioned to provide Becky G with unparalleled opportunities for growth and expansion across various platforms.”
Becky G visited theaters and clubs across the country for her first headlining tour, “Mi Casa, Tu Casa,” last year. The Loud And Live-promoted trek grossed $4.3 million and sold nearly 42,000 tickets across 19 shows, according to reports submitted to the Pollstar Boxoffice. Her most successful night was a sold-out concert at United Palace in New York, New York, on Sept. 15, 2023, that grossed $364,464 and moved 2,964 tickets.
