Matt Rife Makes Hollywood Bowl History
The meteoric rise of Matt Rife continues apace with the comedian making history at the iconic Hollywood Bowl May 8.
Drawing 17,016 to the Bowl during the Netflix Is A Joke festival, the 28-year-old became the youngest comedian to perform and sell out the legendary venue.
Rife has found repeat success in Los Angeles. He sold out four shows at the Dolby Theater in November.
Rife has proven to be a high-velocity ticket mover with his ongoing “ProbleMATTic World Tour” selling 600,000 tickets in 48 hours. Last month, four shows at Oakland’s historic Paramount Theater grossed a total of $951,069, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports.
Rife’s first Netflix special, “Natural Selection,” achieved Top 10 status in 42 countries, leading to a two special deal with Netflix, including the streamer’s first crowd work special. Netflix also announced a scripted comedy development deal with Rife.
Rife’s team includes Christina Shams at Avesta Entertainment and UTA.
