Move Music Management Hires Hospitality Exec Jason Odio
Move Music Management recently announced the hiring of Jason Odio, an experienced executive in the nightclub and hospitality industry, to help expand the company’s roster.
Odio has managed teams and overseen promotions, production, booking, operations and management for over two decades, and Move Music Management CEO Phil Rodriguez believes his experience in various facets of the music industry will help the careers of the company’s clients, a roster that includes Argentine rapper Tiago PZK, who has more than 21 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
“Jason brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and contacts from across the whole creative spectrum — music, fashion, and the arts,” Rodriguez said in a statement. “As our roster grows, it’s a blessing to have Jason join our Move Music Management team and help in growing the careers of our artists.”
Prior to accepting a new position with Move Music Management, Odio worked with the Miami-based Opium Group for 11 years and oversaw the launch of prominent nightclubs such as Mokai, Set and Mansion. He left the company in 2014 and opened his own location, Sidebar, in the Brickell neighborhood, a successful venture that was rebranded and reopened as La Otra. Odio has also opened three restaurants, including Bebito’s Café in Miami Beach.
“I’m excited to begin this new journey with Move, eager to apply the skills and experience I’ve honed over the years in hospitality to my love for music,” Odio said.
Rodriguez, whose company Move Concerts is one of the biggest independent concert promoters in Latin America, formed Move Music Management along with Sebastian Carlomagno as well as Grand Move Records.
Move Concerts Argentina principals Sebastian Carlomagno and Rodriguez formed the management arm of the company as well as Grand Move Records. Together, they have built a roster that includes Tiago PZK, Bhavi, K4OS and Ambik.
