Fred again.. To Headline Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
Few artists can headline stadiums. Fewer artists can announce a headline at LA Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles six days out. But most artists aren’t Fred again..
On June 1, Fred again.. shut down San Francisco’s Civic Center Park alongside Skrillex, reinvigorating San Francisco, a city that’s continued to face struggles over recent years with a shuttered downtown. For the first time since pre-pandemic, the city all came together to celebrate Fred again..’s moment and dance in the streets downtown.
Now, he’s heading down to Los Angeles to do the same at LA Memorial Coliseum. This marks the young artist’s first time headlining a stadium, with Fred again.. writing on his social media accounts, “We’ve been working on this for monthsssss and its definitely the maddest live show we’ve ever tried to do so far.”
Since the early days of the pandemic, Fred again.. started gaining a following in dance music realms with his Actual Life album series, which featured snippets of conversations with friends and sounds of the streets. The project served as a creative escape for the producer. Then, in the summer of 2022, he joined Boiler Room for a performance, which launched him to the mainstream.
From that moment, Fred again.. has curated shows that feature pop-up raves. While they’re often planned months in advance, fans won’t know about the dates until the week of, creating the sense and feel that they’re lucky to be there. Highlights from those pop-up shows include a week-long stint in New York City in March 2023, which included performances alongside Skrillex and Four Tet in Brooklyn, Times Square and Madison Square Garden, and a last-minute slot closing down Coachella’s main stage on weekend two in 2023.
Tickets for Fred again..’s show at LA Memorial Coliseum go on sale June 10 at 1 p.m. PT.
Fred again.. is booked in North America by Wasserman Music’ Ben Shprits and Evan Hancock, who are also the agents for Four Tet.
