Garth Brooks, Melissa Etheridge, kd lang, George Michael, and Chaka Khan are among those who have signed on for the show on the eve of the Millennium March on the nation’s capital. The demonstration is an annual event designed to increase awareness of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues, and promote social equality.

Others inked for the event include Rufus Wainwright, Pet Shop Boys, Albita, and Michael Feinstein. Actors including Ellen DeGeneres, Anne Heche and Nathan Lane will also appear.

Special guests will include DeGeneres’ mother, Betty; Judy and Dennis Shepard, parents of slain Wyoming student Matthew Shepard; Stella and James Byrd Sr., parents of James Byrd Jr. who was dragged to death in Jasper, Texas; as well as members of other families who have endured hate crimes.
