The July 20 show at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., is up in the air for the moment. A band spokesperson told Pollstar.com that the date is tentative and does not appear on Metallica’s confirmed schedule at this time.

While the Giants Stadium gig hovers in limbo, a concert has been added for July 22 at the Chicago Motor Speedway. The show is reportedly this year’s great big Hard Rock Rockfest, so more acts and attractions will probably be added to the already impressive Metallica bill.

The Heavy metal veterans will take to the road June 30 at Foxboro Stadium outside Boston and stop in cities including Atlanta, Denver, San Francisco and Los Angeles before backtracking to Chicago.

Pollstar.com is triple-checking the support acts, but it looks like Korn, Kid Rock, Powerman 5000, and System of a Down will open for the seminal heavy metal rockers on all dates. Stay tuned for changes and updates..
