Destiny’s Child will open for Aguilera on the tour that kicks off July 31 in Kansas and plays in 35 North American cities through mid-October.

“I’m really excited about going out with my band and dancers, and giving the show an edgy theatrical vibe,” Aguilera said.

The best new artist Grammy-winner promises to cover “new ground” on the tour, adding “more blues, more soul and lots more choreography” to the act.

The tour comes with promotional tie-ins with the corporate sponsors as well. Sears will feature Christina-themed “experience areas,” Christina merchandise, plus Levi’s displays, in all its full-line stores.

The shed tour also benefits Do Something, a national non-profit organization that encourages social activism among young people.

Fifty Sears and Levi’s Youth Empowerment Grants will be awarded nationwide to young people throughout the course of the tour. Winners will receive a $500 grant to fund their community service projects. Winners in Aguilera’s 35 tour cities also receive tickets to see the concert and to meet her backstage before the show.
