The music media jumped all over a comment by SFX chairman Robert Sillerman implying that the band would return to the road next year. Sillerman made the remark to SFX shareholders and financial managers during a quarterly report meeting.

SFX Entertainment promoters The Next Adventure have handled the last several Stones tours but TNA president Arthur Fogel said the band has no plans to go out again.

“I suppose there’s always a possibility, but certainly, nothing has been discussed in any concrete matter about a tour for next year,” Fogel said. “Maybe he’s [Sillerman] hopeful.”

The Stones concluded their No Security tour of arenas last year and spent almost two years on the road with the massive Bridges to Babylon production, which also wrapped in 1999.
