B.B. King Blues Festival 2000
B.B. King straps on his guitar named Lucille for yet another rendition of the traveling B.B. King Blues Festival. The tour kicks off August 1 at the Las Vegas House of Blues with a lineup of the familiar and the new.
Blues veteran Buddy Guy will be on hand for the duration of the tour, while Susan Tedeschi, who picked up a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 1999, appears on all but a few dates.
Chicago blueswoman Koko Taylor appears August 27 and September 6, 13 and 14; Tommy Castro on August 2-15, 18 – 27 and 30 and September 1 – 3. Corey Harris closes out the current itinerary from September 8 – 17.
More dates are expected to be announced.
The B.B. King Blues Festival has featured in past years both legends and up-and-coming blues and R&B artists including the Neville Brothers, Dr. John, Tower of Power,Johnny & Edgar Winter, Storyville, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Jonny Lang, and Indigenous.
