Well, OK, that Bush and Gore.

The Bush And Gore 2000 tour, sporting the motto “Sex and violence have never been better together!,” brings five industrial and hardcore bands together for an initial 19-city caravan that promises a better sideshow than that of the presumptive presidential candidates.

Headlining is Seattle-based Rorschach Test, on the road in support of its latest release, Peace Minus One. Snake River Conspiracy, Bile, N17, and Videodrone round out the lineup.

In addition to the music, concert-goers are encouraged to participate in a “Pageant of the Perverse and Bizarre,” in which “acts ranging from the exotic to the stupid will compete in front of an international audience” for “big prizes,” according to the tour’s promoter.

The club outing begins August 5 at Boston’s in Tempe, Ariz., and traverses the country before bringing Bush And Gore 2000 back to Arizona for a wrap up at Bash On Ash in Phoenix. The tour is expected to be extended through November, with more dates promised soon.

No word yet if Pat Buchanan or Ralph Nader will demand equal time.
