The nature of his injury was not disclosed but a tour publicist said the dates were nixed shortly after Page and the Crowes performed “The Wanton Song” during a taping of “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” in Los Angeles August 14.

Eight shows have been canceled, starting with the August 15 concert in Irvine, Calif., and running through the August 30 show near Houston. The tour had just started up again on the 11th after a monthlong break.

Page and the Crowes said they will try to reschedule as many of the dates as possible before the third tour leg launches September 23 in Florida. Ticket refund information has not been released, pending the announcement of rescheduled dates.
