Christina Aguilera Postpones New York State Fair Gig
Laryngitis forced the postponement of a concert by singer Christina Aguilera.
Sunday’s show was to be one of the highlights of the New York State Fair. Fair spokesman Joe LaGuardia said officials were notified late Saturday that Aguilera would try to reschedule the show in the next two weeks.
If losing her voice wasn’t bad enough, A couple of souvenir-hunting college students reportedly helped themselves to items on her tour bus.
The bus was parked outside a hotel at Syracuse University the night of September 3 when the burglary took place. Golf clubs, a gym bag and pyrotechnics worth more than $1,000 were stolen off the bus. The items did not belong to the singer.
Two Syracuse University students who had been partying with Aguilera’s crew members were charged with larceny and burglary, police said.
