Christina Aguilera Ill Again
Teen pop queen Christina Aguilera barely managed to finish her American tour before she and several members of her band and crew came down with a nasty flu. Aguilera succumbed to the bug following her October 23 Honolulu performance and has canceled some upcoming promotional appearances.
Among the casualties was a date on “Live With Regis,” and appearances at the annual B-96 Boo Bash October 27 in Chicago and a Disney Channel/Time Warner event in New York City’s Times Square the next day.
Her doctor has reported that Aguilera is suffering from “a viral syndrome associated with exudative tonsillitis.”
She’s expected to catch up with her calendar within a week. The singer is scheduled to perform at the Radio Music Awards November 4 in Las Vegas and is set to tape her ABC television special November 7 and 8 in Los Angeles.
Aguilera was troubled by throat problems through much of her just-concluded tour, resulting in the cancellation of several dates.
