Kittie Makes Tracks
Canadian rocker chicks Kittie aren’t letting a banged-up metalhead like Pantera‘s Phil Anselmo put a crimp in their tour schedule. The gals were supposed to open on the Pantera road trip that was canceled when Anselmo broke a couple of ribs, but instead of sitting at home sulking, Kittie is about to launch their own tour.
The band heads out November 18 for nine dates with Mudvayne, Apartment 26, and Factory 81.
The heavy metal outfit is touring in advance of Paperdoll, an EP scheduled for release in December. The new release features a CD-ROM video and six tracks, five which were recorded live in Sweden this summer.
Kittie has gone from playing in frontwoman Morgan’s and drummer Mercedes’ family basement to touring earlier this year with Slipknot, and ultimately scoring a spot on this summer’s Ozzfest lineup.
The band is expected to be on the Sno-Core 2001 tour, which is rumored to start in mid-January. Watch for a new full-length album from the band early next year as well.
