Globo television showed American band leader Nick Oliveri being escorted offstage Friday (January 19) by officers after a judge apparently ordered his arrest. Oliveri was cited and asked to put on a pair of pants before being released. He was then allowed to continue the performance, Globo reported.

The band was one of many attractions on the fifth night of the seven-day international music extravaganza. Sepultura and Iron Maiden were scheduled to perform late Friday.

Local police said they had no information on the arrest.
