Sarah Harmer Flies Solo
Canadian singer/songwriter Sarah Harmer has created quite a stir since her critically acclaimed 1999 solo debut, You Were Here, and she’s ready to take her guitar on the road for a club tour of North America.
Formerly with the Kingston, Ontario-based band Weeping Tile, Harmer has also honed her chops by recording with Canadian favorites like Great Big Sea and Blue Rodeo, and most recently sang “Highway Patrolman” with fellow folkie Dar Williams on the album Badlands: A Tribute to Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.
She’s also done her share of touring, too, having opened for Moxy Fruvous, Billy Bragg, and the Indigo Girls on recent outings.
Harmer will open two shows for The Sheila Divine before going it alone beginning February 3 in Rochester, N.Y. She’ll play mainly clubs and theatres in northern states and Canada, including Chicago, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.
