The Victoria, British Columbia, native will cross the border for a March 6 launch in Pontiac, Mich., and spend at least the next month hitting mostly major markets such as Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Washington, New York City, Philadelphia and Boston.

In addition to the heaps of praise lavished on her rookie effort, Whoa, Nelly!, and single, “I’m Like A Bird,” Furtado recently picked up a slew of nominations for the Juno Awards – Canada’s version of the Grammys.

Nods included best single, best new solo artist and best songwriter. She’ll find out how she fared just two days before her American outing kicks off, when the awards are given March 4 in Hamilton, Ontario.
