They’ll be joined by Joe, Kelly Price, Bilal, Teena Marie and comedian Steve Harvey at the mega-fest, which will be staged at the Louisiana Superdome and Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

The stadium will be divided into four Superlounge areas, each featuring different genres of music including world rhythms and old-school grooves. Performers include Tower of Power, the Whispers, Steel Pulse, King Solomon Burke, and Earl Klugh.

In addition to the music, the Empowerment Seminar series will showcase stars of African-American arts and letters, as well as social and business leaders. The seminars will be in session daily throughout the festival.

More headliners are expected to be added to all dates, and tickets are already available at prices ranging from $30 – $65 through Ticketmaster.

The annual event is presented by Essence magazine, and Coca-Cola is the title sponsor for the fourth year running.
