Radiohead Comes Out To Play
Radiohead has mapped out the first dates of what is expected to be a real North American tour. The band did a couple of small venue concerts after the release of Kid A last year but chose not to tour behind it on this side of the Atlantic.
In fact, Radiohead did next to nothing to hype the album, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard. No singles were released, no videos were made and the media was not courted in any way.
That’s expected to change when a new album, Amnesiac, comes out June 5. The band has announced a tour kick-off date of June 18 at the C.W. Mitchell Pavilion outside Houston. Radiohead has scheduled stops in Colorado, Washington, and three shows in California thus far.
More dates and info on support acts are expected shortly.
