Slipknot, Papa Roach and other traveling partners from this summer’s 30-city Ozzfest don’t plan on letting the monotony of the touring get to them.

Instead of trashing motel rooms or terrorizing the locals and farm animals, the bands are booking a sort of mini-tour to fill up their spare time.

Unofficially called the Off Festival or Big Day Off, depending on the source, the shows will feature Slipknot, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, and Mudvayne and will play at least 10 dates scattered across the two-month Ozzfest schedule.

The shows will be in sheds and other outdoor venues, beginning June 10 at Price Cutter Park in Ozark, Mo. The fest-with-no-name is currently set to wind down August 9 at the Jones Beach Amphitheatre in Wantagh, N.Y.

The lineup will vary from show to show, depending on the bands’ prior commitments.
