Travis Gives It Away
Scottish foursome Travis will celebrate the release of The Invisible Band June 12 with a free show at the Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco, the first of four gratis performances around the country.
The band gives another freebie two days later at the Virgin Megastore in West Hollywood, then travels east to do it again June 24 at Newbury Comics in Cambridge, Mass., and June 26 at a Virgin Megastore in New York City.
The first 75 fans at the free in-stores appearances will also receive tickets to Travis’ local tour stop in support of British chanteuse Dido.
The Dido/Travis jaunt kicks off June 10 in Vancouver and runs through July 8. They’ll trek the full summer shed circuit, including the Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Toronto and Minneapolis market.
