Dusty, countrified Bakersfield, Calif., – nicknamed Nashville West by some – is poised to become better known as a hotbed for headbanging rap-rock as Adema – with some familial ties to the town’s prodigal sons, Korn – hits the road for their first national club tour.

Fronted by Jonathan Davis’ kid brother Marky Chavez, Adema reportedly sparked a record company bidding war for their services (Arista won). The band’s debut single, “Giving In,” is already receiving radio airplay in New York City well before its June 26 add date.

The itinerary began May 17 in San Jose, but as the buzz around the group gets louder, more dates have are being added, including a June 22 showcase at WXRK-FM’s Dysfunctional Family Picnic at Jones Beach Amphitheatre in Wantaugh, N.Y.

After the radio show festival, Adema is expected to line up several dates opening for Staind, who currently has the No. 1 selling album in the U.S.
