Coldplay is just one of several young Brit groups making an impact on the charts and concert box offices in the States.

With bands like Scotland’s Travis paving the way, Coldplay’s melodic tunes have captured U.S. audiences. The single “Yellow,” from the Mercury Music Prize-nominated Parachutes album, scored a big radio and video hit for the quartet. Add three Brit Awards nominations and sold out tour earlier this year, and you have a new success story.

The Wiltern show comes one day after Coldplay performs at KROQ-FM’s annual Weenie Roast at the Verizon Amphitheatre in Irvine.
