The pre-concert event took place June 28 in the band’s hometown of Boston. The fans invited to the soundcheck had been promised prime seating at that night’s show but ended up with tickets for the nose-bleed section.

Aerosmith had contracted the Fans Rule ticketing company to sell tickets online to their fan club members. When the company didn’t live up to expectations, the band instructed Fans Rule to contact almost 1,000 fans belonging to the AF1 fan club and invite them for the sound check at the Tweeter Center.

Those in attendance were treated to a preview of Aerosmith’s new video “Fly Away From Here,” as well as a 15-minute set.

Later, during the actual concert, band members visited the fan club section and brought them down to better seats.
