Days Of The New fans might find some Tantric members strangely familiar. Bassist Jesse Vest and drummer Matt Taul were founding members of that group. After a falling out with band leader Travis Meeks, Vest and Taul decided to venture out on their own.

Originally called Carbon-14 (C14), Vest and Taul recruited guitarist Todd Whitener and singer Hugo Ferreria to form Tantric.

The band has spent most of the year on the road, playing with 3 Doors Down, Lifehouse, Kid Rock, Incubus, and Staind.

Their single, “Astounded,” is already a Top 10 favorite and the accompanying video will hit MTV shortly.
