TV Networks, Stars Unite For Massive Fund-raiser
From New York and Los Angeles, celebrities from music, television, feature films, sports and news will take part in the unprecidented event.
At press time, participants included Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Tom Petty, Paul Simon, Amy Brennenman, Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Calista Flockhart, Dennis Franz, Kelsey Grammer, Tom Hanks, Conan O’Brien, Ray Romano, Julia Roberts, Will Smith, Sela Ward, and Robin Williams.
All funds raised from this program will go to the relief effort. All costs will be underwritten by the networks, and everyone involved will be donating his or her time and resources.
“America: A Tribute to Heroes” will be broadcast live in the Eastern and Central time zones and tape-delayed in the Mountain and Pacific time zones. The show will also be videostreamed on the Internet. All of the other broadcast networks, cable networks and radio networks have been invited to carry the feed.
