Garbage and Brits Stereophonics tackle the first half of the tour. Garbage claim October 10-24 as their territory, while Stereophonics catch a few dates October 28 through November 2.

No Doubt round out the pack, appearing on the West Coast dates November 5-18.

The latest leg of the Elevation Tour kicks off at University of Notre Dame in Indiana, followed by dates in Montreal, Hamilton, Chicago, Baltimore, New York City, East Rutherford, Providence, Philadelphia, Austin, Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Oakland and Las Vegas.

A good chunk of the tickets are general admission floor seats priced at about $45. Other seats will be available at the $85 and $130 golden-circle levels.

The Elevation Tour, in support of U2’s latest album, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, has grossed approximately $105 million worldwide, putting the band in strong contention for the top grossing act of 2001.

At this point, U2 has played 50 dates in North America, which they followed with a 33-date European tour. Incidentally, all shows have been completely sold out – a major factor in their decision to return Stateside.

Compared to Pop Mart and Zoo TV, the Elevation outing is almost minimalist. Gone are the multistory video screens and in its place, a bare stage and a heart-shaped catwalk that allows Bono to interact more intimately with fans.
