With a musical career that spans more than two decades, Solis is widely regarded as one of the most important figures in Latin music. He started his first group, Los Hermanitos Solis, with his brother when he was 12 years old.

In the ‘70s, he formed the group Los Bukis which – during the next 20 years- became one of the most influential groups in the norteño and Tejano music scene.

Solis is hailed for taking the sensibilities of Mexican pop to the world. He and Los Bukis (which he wrote all the music for) have won a bevy of international honors. The group shattered a number of album sales records and gained fans the world over.

In 1996, Los Bukis broke up and the Latin music community mourned the loss of one of its most beloved groups. However, Solis was far from quitting music and embarked on a solo career.

Since then, he has collaborated with Enrique Iglesias, Ezequiel Pena, and continues to wow record companies with impressive sales figures.

Solis’ latest album Mas de Mi Alma was released in May of this year.
