All in all, he’ll play to a total of 31 countries before the June 27th end in London. This tour marks his first U.K. performances in 15 years and first European shows since 1984’s The Pros & Cons Of Hitchhiking.

Taking the name from his most recent album, the In The Flesh tour is a collective overview of songs gleaned from Waters’ time with Pink Floyd, as well as tunes from his solo albums and a new song, “Each Small Candle.”

The shows will feature large-scale video projections, theatrical sets and special effects to highlight Waters’ music.

In 1999 and 2000, Waters played the States and Canada during a two-part tour. The event was such a success that many concert venues were changed mid-tour and upgraded to accommodate more fans.

Known as the creative mastermind behind Pink Floyd, Waters ventured solo when the group split in the early ‘80s. His first album, The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking, was released in 1984 and went gold.

Although he released a handful of albums in the ‘90s, Waters remained stage shy until the end of the decade.

In recent years, Waters has been working on an opera in English and French called Ca Ira. His new album will be released sometime in 2002, with a possible North American tour commencing in 2003.
