The band is playing major markets from October 23 until November 25 before skipping over the Atlantic pond for their U.K. tour, which runs December 4-18. This tour marks the biggest homeland stint in more than five years for the London-based group.

Stereolab – led by husband and wife Tim Gane and Laetitia Sadier – reside in England but their music borrows sounds from around the world. From Sadier’s subversive French lyrics to Brazilian jazz rhythms, the band delivers a unique pastiche of international pop.

As one of the defining bands of the post-grunge ‘90s, Stereolab endured numerous member changes to emerge triumphant in the new millennium. Their 1993 Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements set the stage for U.S. and U.K. underground fame and they’ve been a prominent fixture on the scene since.

Portland, Oregon’s indie duo Quasi support Stereolab on most U.K. dates. Composed of formerly married couple Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney’s drummer) and Sam Coomes (Elliott Smith’s bassist), the group has just released their fifth album, The Sword Of God.
