Rob Zombie Speeds Ahead With Tour Plans
Rob Zombie gets set to kick off his 2002 tour in Los Angeles at the end of February. Carrying on through April 24, Zombie and support groups – veteran punk rockers The Damned and newbies Sinisstar – mix it up by playing at venues varying from clubs to arenas.
The rocker took a break in January to rest after his co-headlining bit with Ozzy Osbourne on the Merry Mayhem tour and to continue editing work on his yet-to-be released horror-flick, “House Of 1,000 Corpses.” Zombie has been awaiting a distribution deal to release his film and hopes to get it out by the end of this summer.
Aside from working on his own album, Sinister Urge, which was released in November, Zombie has leant his musical scrawl to two upcoming flicks. Both “Rollerball” and “The Scorpion King” feature Zombie tunes on the soundtracks. He also has plans to write a few songs for his own film.
But meanwhile, he’ll have his hands busy with his 35-date Demon Speeding tour.
