Slayer Search Out Drummer Replacement
Well, Limp Bizkit may have incited the mayhem, but Slayer are bringing about a more controlled effort as they tour in search of a drummer. While original drummer Dave Lombardo is back behind the kit for the God Hates Us All tour, which starts January 24, the band are out on the prowl looking for a permanent replacement for Paul Bostaph. Bostaph had to quit the group because of a chronic elbow injury.
All potential candidates need to send in a VHS video of themselves playing along to a set list of Slayer songs, some of which include “Disciple,” “Stain Of Mud,” “Angel Of Death,” “South Of Heaven,” “War Ensemble” and “Hell Awaits.” Pertinent information, including age, biography, music experience and credits, is a necessary video accompaniment.
Only three audition dates are on the books right now: February 1, 7, and 13. Videos must be submitted by January 26 and February 1 to be considered for the auditions.
Hatebreed tag along for this tour, which runs until the end of February. American Head Charge and Chimaira were supports for the successful first leg last fall.
